My first “official” fatblogging post
Posted by Lady Rose on March 29, 2007
I’ve been sorta of doing it since this blog first started — but now that I have been working on the Diet Pulpit (creating a fun place for fatbloggers to socialize and meet) - I decided it was time to get “official” about doing my own fatblogging posts.
I keep a daily written journal, with everything I eat and exercise I do, and it’s pretty boring (after almost a year of dieting I have food trimmed down to the bear essence) and I weigh myself once a week (with only the occasional sneak peak during the week) — SO having said that I don’t know if I will fatblog every day here - it would be soooooo boring — but I will definitely be making an effort to do so more often, but most likely I will add a bit of fatblogging at the end of other posts.
Here’s my fatblogging update for today:
menu -
breakfast and lunch: an Extend bar and apple
dinner: roasted baby carrots and skinless turkey breast.
exercise -30 mins. on stationary bike, and 50 reps on core flex gym (for abs) -
This has been what I ate all week, with only small changes (different veggie and different lean protein). My next weigh in will be Saturday morning.
The past few weeks have seen a nice steady dip in the scales - from the way I “feel” body wise, it may have slowed down - but that’s ok I can handle it. I just like being prepared before I hop on the scale so emotionally I can fend off being disappointed.
Happy fatblogging one and all! Lady Rose

I had the same reservations about a commitment to fatblogging, so instead of setting up yet another ponderous WP blog on myshared hosting, I am using the new web apps Tumblr and Twitter to fatblog. Twitter for food plan/food log, Tumblr for any reflections. I am an OA member, and will be pushing Twitter-to-textmessage as an alternative to email foodplan tracking in the months to come. Cheers!

Hi, Lady Rose, thanks foe sharing! I think it can help to write it out for everyone to see, don’t you think?

Blogging has kept me honest and accountable for this whole thing. I’m putting up my numbers for the whole world to see. Well, at least the ones who visit our blog. (Join us–we could use a few more!)

Sounds like you’re doing great! I have been avoiding doing core (ab) exercises but I guess its getting near the time of year to get started again. Blogging sure is an awesome way to stay accountable!

I can’t see surviving on so little food but then I’m a lot bigger than you. Good Luck with the Diet Pulpit! I will definitely support you!

Thanks everyone for supporting my very first official fatblog post
The whole reason for starting the blog last year was to keep a record for myself and keep me honest — little did I know that so many others were doing the same and that it would become a hot trend and a new buzzword would be created hehehe Don’t you love the internet! I love the article that had a link to “fatspam” — some guy posting about how tired he was with all the fatblogging. LOL Lady Rose
PS waistloss, be warned once I reach my goal weight I’m coming to your house for bar-b-que!!!
You cooking sounds so good it would be worth gaining a lb. or 2 back just to try some.
